What Slope is and why it is still played every day
Slope came out in 2014 and has not needed a sequel. A ball rolls downhill on a grid of green-lit platforms; you steer left and right and nothing else. Every SPEED UP section on the track makes the ball faster, until the track is arriving faster than you can look at it. Red blocks stop you dead, gaps and edges drop you into the void, and either way the next run is one key press away.

Steering habits that add distance
- Feather the keys: Momentum carries. Short taps nudge the ball sideways; a held key keeps pushing until you slide straight off the side.
- Commit early at red blocks: Decide the side while the block is still small on screen. At speed there is no correcting a late choice.
- Ignore the score: Watching the counter costs you the platform after this one. Check it when you die.
